Sijia Chen is a multimedia artist specializing in painting, sculpture, installation, and public art. She holds an M.F.A. degree from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and a B.F.A. degree from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China. Currently based in Los Angeles, she has presented her work in solo exhibitions in China and the United States, and has also participated in exhibitions and biennials in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Her public works can be found in Seattle, WA, Portsmouth, NH, North Kansas City, MO, Claremont, CA, and internationally in Guangzhou, Shantou, and Jieyang. Chen's artwork has been collected by esteemed institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK, Inside-Out Art Museum, Guangdong Art Museum, and Shantou University. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she actively engages in promoting international cultural and artistic exchanges as a member of the Los Angeles based artist organization Durden and Ray. Chen has also shared her expertise through teaching and conducting workshops at various academic institutions, including Temple University, California State University, University of Missouri, University of New Hampshire, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, and Guangzhou University.
